Legal
Terms of Use
Effective: July 10, 2026
These terms apply to the MaulTeam.app Mac application and the maul-team framework (together, the “Software”), provided by sohei56 (the “Author”). By downloading, installing, or using the Software, you agree to these terms.
1. License and open source
The Software is source-available and licensed in two parts:
- The maul-team framework (agents, skills, scripts) is released under the MIT License. You may use, modify, and distribute it under that license.
- The MaulTeam.app Mac application is provided under its own commercial license, currently free of charge for personal and commercial use. Redistribution or resale of the app binary is not permitted.
Where these terms and a license text conflict, the license text governs.
2. Using the Software
The Software orchestrates AI agents that run on your machine through Claude Code, which you install and pay for separately. You are responsible for:
- complying with the terms of any AI service you connect (e.g., Anthropic’s terms for Claude Code and the Claude API), including its usage costs;
- all code, files, and commands the AI agents create, modify, or execute on your machine and in your repositories — review output before you rely on it, and run the Software on projects that are under version control and backed up;
- anything you build, ship, or publish using the Software.
3. AI-generated output
The Software drives large language models. Their output can be incorrect, insecure, or incomplete, and agents act autonomously within your project — including writing files, running shell commands, and creating git branches and commits. The Author does not review, endorse, or warrant any AI-generated output.
4. Privacy
The Software runs entirely on your Mac. It does not collect analytics or telemetry, and it does not send your code anywhere itself; your code reaches third parties only through the AI services you have configured (e.g., the Claude API via Claude Code). This website is hosted on GitHub Pages, which may log standard access data under GitHub’s privacy statement.
This website (not the Software) uses Umami, a privacy-focused analytics service, to measure aggregate page traffic and interactions (such as which download button was clicked). Umami does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not track you across sites; IP addresses are not stored. Because no personal data is collected, no consent banner is required. The Mac application itself remains free of analytics and telemetry.
5. Disclaimer of warranty
The Software is provided “AS IS”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Author shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or any loss of data, code, profits, or business, arising out of or in connection with the use of the Software — including actions taken by AI agents on your machine.
7. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated as the Software evolves (for example, if paid features are introduced). The current version is always published on this page; continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any dispute arising from these terms or the Software shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court.
